Registering the birth
The birth is registered with the civil registry (Registro Civil), which issues the birth certificate and, for a family, the libro de familia. We prepare and lodge the registration and the supporting documents, and arrange sworn translations where a document from your home country is needed.
The child’s route to Spanish nationality
A child born in Spain does not automatically become Spanish — Spain does not grant nationality by birthplace alone.
